On January 18, 2019, Shimizu Corporation was ordered to suspend a part of its business, as stated below, by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under the relevant provisions of the Construction Business Act in connection with the fact that the Company had been found guilty of the charge of violating the Antimonopoly Act with respect to the Shinkansen Shinagawa Station (North-section) Construction Project and others, which had been ordered by the Central Japan Railway Company. The company regrets that this grave situation has occurred and apologize once again to all of company's shareholders and other stakeholders for the concern that this matter has caused. The company have put in place stringent measures to prevent a recurrence of similar incidents as announced on March 23, 2018 and are firmly determined to restore the trust of the company stakeholders and the public through these measures.
