(Alliance News) - Servizi Italia Spa announced Tuesday that it has signed a contract with Steris Spa to acquire a branch of the latter's business devoted to decontamination and sterilization services.

"The agreement reached," said Roberto Olivi chairman of the executive committee of Servizi Italia, "aims to elevate the distinctive recognition of Servizi Italia Group in the offer and quality of its services. We are very proud to be able to further strengthen our presence within this market segment by laying the foundations for solid and new synergies in surgical instrument sterilization services and sterilization process validation activities."
