Richards Packaging Income Fund announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was CAD 113.030 million compared to CAD 127.019 million a year ago. Operating income was CAD 3.958 million compared to CAD 25.524 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 1.663 million compared to CAD 5.944 million a year ago. For the half year, sales was CAD 222.903 million compared to CAD 235.910 million a year ago. Operating income was CAD 20.079 million compared to CAD 44.149 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 15.760 million compared to CAD 20.910 million a year ago.
Richards Packaging Income Fund (the Fund) is a Canada-based company. The Fund owns Richards Packaging Inc. (Richards Packaging), which serves a range of customer bases throughout North America comprised of approximately 17,000 regional food, beverage, cosmetics, healthcare, and other enterprises. Richards Packaging specializes in the design, manufacture, and distribution of packaging solutions in both glass and plastic containers and closures for a variety of markets. It is engaged in the distribution of approximately 8,000 different types of packaging components and healthcare products that are sourced from over 900 suppliers and three manufacturing facilities. It sources products from glass and plastic companies both in raw materials and in finished goods.
