RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG prepared for future business opportunities with a new organisational structure in its Board of Management. The company's Supervisory Board passed a resolution appointing Prof. Dr. Bernd Griewing, spokesperson for the Medical Board and Medical Director of the Neurological Clinic in Bad Neustadt, to the Board of management from 1st January 2016. As well as continuing to develop the Medical Board Griewing in his new position as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be responsible for the areas of patient safety, quality and hygiene, medical process management as well as innovation and network medicine.

The Supervisory Board also passed a resolution to modify the departmental responsibilities in the Board of Management at the same time. In future the CEO Dr. Martin Siebert will be responsible for the further development of the university hospitals in Giessen and Marburg. The areas of personnel/salaries and communication as well as the specialist area of law and the departments of compliance, internal revision and group headquarters and the hospitals on the RH-N-KLINIKUM campus in Bad Neustadt will also be under his responsibility.

As CFO Jens-Peter Neumann will be responsible for the areas of accounting, taxes and controlling, IT, Building and Technology as well as Investor Relations and Finance. In future Martin Menger, COO, will be responsible for the areas of materials management, services and logistics as well as post-merger integration. The Central Clinic in Bad Berka and the hospital in Frankfurt/Oder will also remain under his responsibility.

Furthermore the terms of the service agreements of the Board of Management will be standardised. All the members will now receive a five-year agreement, each starting on 1st January 2016.
