Dacia is not ruling out raising the price of its Spring electric car in the future to compensate for additional European customs duties, but not sharply or significantly, a spokeswoman for the Renault group's low-cost brand told Reuters on Thursday.

She added that no tariff adjustments were envisaged in the near future.

The European Union announced on Thursday that it would impose tariffs of up to 37.6% on imports of electric vehicles made in China, while saying it was ready to negotiate a compromise with Beijing. The final vote on this measure, representing a customs surcharge of 21% for the Dacia Spring, is scheduled for November.
