FRANKFURT/ZÜRICH (dpa-AFX Broker) - DocMorris shares benefited on Wednesday from the approval of a simple e-prescription solution using electronic health cards in Germany. Their price climbed 3.7 percent in Zurich. The shares of its MDax-listed competitor Redcare Pharmacy also rose in the wake, climbing 4.8 percent to 151.80 euros.

The Swiss mail-order pharmacy DocMorris intends to benefit significantly more from the mandatory introduction of e-prescriptions in Germany at the beginning of the year. Around 70 percent of all prescriptions are already prescribed electronically. Until now, however, online pharmacies have lacked the fully digital route. Redcare also expects the introduction of e-prescriptions to improve its business.
