Mozambique Activities Update

Labour and training specialist RBR Group Limited (ASX: RBR) ("RBR" or "Company") provides the following update concerning its business activities in Mozambique.

As has been widely reported in the international press (see www.clubofmozambique.com or www.zitamar.com or various other news agencies such as BBC and Sky News), the Mozambique LNG project and the adjacent town of Palma in Mozambique's Cabo Delgado province have been attacked by "insurgents". The first attack on the local population took place on 24 March 2021 at around 15h00 local time (21h00 AWST), while further attacks on 26 and 27 March 2021 took place in the vicinity of the Palma municipal airport, the Amarula Lodge and RBR's operations at the Wentworth camp.

The town's communications systems (mobile phone network) were disconnected in the initial attack and remain offline, significantly hampering efforts to gain verified information, locate people and provide assistance. People remain unaccounted for in the area.

Sadly, there has been loss of life of both local residents and workers of the numerous contractors operating in Palma and the surrounding areas. Although RBR's employees and those of its 50%-owned company Projectos Dinamicos Lda ("PD") are accounted for, there are unconfirmed reports of fatalities at the Wentworth camp. Access to the camp remains high risk at present, preventing the Company from verifying these reports.

PD is developing a 668-bed accommodation camp at the Wentworth facility for the Mozambique LNG Project workforce (see ASX release dated 28 January 2021), under a contract with the CCS Joint Venture ("CCS JV"). The CCS JV is the Engineering, Procurement and Construction ("EPC") contractor developing the LNG project on behalf of the operator.

At the time of the attack, 340 beds and associated infrastructure had already been installed on the site. The Company has been unable to determine the status of its assets at Wentworth, although unconfirmed reports suggest that they remain wholly or mainly intact.

ASX Release

The developers of the Mozambique LNG Project announced on 2 April 2021 that they are withdrawing all personnel (Mozambican and foreign) from the project facility on the Afungi peninsula and leaving the assets in the hands of the Mozambique defence and security forces. There have been no further announcements by either the project developers or the Mozambican government regarding a target date for the resumption of activities.

The contract between PD and CCS JV remains in place at this time. There is an open dialogue between PD and CCS JV on the current contract and the uninstalled capacity. Once the larger issues around the future and timing of the LNG Project as well as security in the region become clearer, the Parties will determine the appropriate way forward on the contract.

RBR will continue to provide further verified information to the market as it comes to hand.
