TOKYO, January 7, 2014 - Rakuten Group subsidiary Rakuten Card Co., Ltd.  today announced the launch of its household budgeting service. With the addition of a receipt reader and budget setting feature to its Rakuten Card app, which already gives customers access to monthly statements and more, customers can now manage all of their credit card and cash spending in one place.

(1)  Receipt reader
Simply by taking a photo of a receipt using your smartphone camera (OS: Android™ or iOS4.3 and later), prices and purchased items are automatically read and registered to the app. In addition to the existing feature on the app which automatically registers purchases made on a Rakuten Card, this feature allows customers to record their cash purchases to the app as well.

(2)  Budget setting feature
The app now allows you to set a ceiling for monthly spending. Setting a budget limit allows planned management because you can manage monthly expenditure, letting you how where your finances are holding up.

(3)  Spending data entry feature
You are now able to key in what you have spent manually. You can also manage your spending even where no receipts are issued because you can enter the data by category, for example "living expenses," "hobbies," etc.

(4)  Enhanced graph display
In addition to the existing line graphs, the app now displays pie charts - understand the proportion of your spending on dining and drinking or hobbies at a glance.

Rakuten Card offers services allowing Rakuten Card members to use their cards safely and manage their finances appropriately in the aim of further enhancing customer satisfaction.
