Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced its newest version of Coexistence Manager for Notes, a solution for ensuring e-mail and calendar coexistence between Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online and hosted Exchange. In this latest release, Coexistence Manager for Notes provides directory synchronization between Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010. This enables users on both platforms to seamlessly interact with each other and view a common list of users, groups and resources, no matter where their mailboxes reside.

?Everyday organizations are turning to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 to help them reach new levels of productivity while reducing the costs associated with business communications,? said Julia White, senior director of Microsoft Exchange Product Management at Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) ?With Coexistence Manager for Notes, Quest delivers capabilities to help meet this increasing customer demand to migrate to Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Online to realize these benefits.?

?With the latest version of Coexistence Manager for Notes, we have simplified one of the biggest pains among organizations transitioning from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange: updating directories between platforms,? said Bill Evans, vice president and general manager of SharePoint and Notes Transition, Quest Software. ?Coexistence Manager for Notes mitigates the associated risks of Notes and Exchange coexistence and ensures a worry-free transition experience for our customers.?

In addition, Quest recently launched a beta program for Notes Migrator for SharePoint 6.0. Scheduled for release later this quarter, Notes Migrator for SharePoint will support Microsoft Office 365 – the next generation of SharePoint Online – and add support for many of the new capabilities in SharePoint 2010. Customers and partners looking to migrate Lotus Notes applications to Office 365 beta sites can participate in the Quest beta today by visiting http://communities.quest.com/groups/notes-migration-product-beta-group.
