FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - ProSiebenSat.1 shares received a major boost from an optimistic analyst commentary on Thursday. JPMorgan upgraded the shares to "Overweight" and ranked the media group among the "Super Six" sector stocks for the second half of the year. As a result, the share price rose by 6.4 percent. The shares traded above 7 euros for the first time in a month. They stood out positively from competitor RTL, for which JPMorgan remains neutral. Its shares fell by 1.2 percent on Thursday.

Analyst Daniel Kerven wrote in his study that the advertising market has stabilized and should pick up even more if the economic recovery comes as a positive surprise. In addition, sales of business units such as Flaconi could soon better crystallize the true value of the Group. Such steps would reduce debt and could also pave the way for a takeover by MediaForEurope or a merger. He also upgraded MediaForEurope to "Overweight". The shares rose by more than 7 percent in Milan on Thursday.

In addition to ProSiebenSat.1, Kerven also rates the shares of Vivendi, ITV, Pearson, Relx and Universal Music, which are also rated "Overweight", among the "Super Six" for the rest of the year. Vivendi is his favorite. The shares moved moderately higher, with the exception of Vivendi, which made a positive impression in Paris with a rise of three percent.

The JPMorgan expert downgraded Publicis and Wolters Kluwer to "Neutral". Share prices fell here on Thursday./tih/ag/mis
