Premier Inc. and the members of our alliance congratulate Mr. Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 45 President of the United States. We agree with President Trump that new directions are needed to ensure we provide quality healthcare at an affordable price, while continuing America's leadership in research and discovery. As the President, the Administration and Congress take up the challenges ahead, we strongly urge them to continue to move healthcare away from today's fee-for-service system in favor of patient-centered alternative payment models that reward value and quality patient outcomes. This work has been spurred by nearly two decades of bipartisan leadership, and our members have spent well more than a decade building, testing and scaling new models of care delivery to successfully improve quality and reduce costs. Our members stand ready to work with the new Administration and accelerate this work to develop solutions that add flexibility, choice, transparent cost and quality measurement, and public and private sector alignment.
