Precision System Science Co., Ltd. Revises Earnings Guidance for the Six Months Ended December 31, 2015 and for the Year Ending June 30, 2016

Precision System Science Co., Ltd. revised earnings guidance for the six months ended December 31, 2015 and for the full year ended June 30, 2016. For the six months, net sales of JPY 2,348 million, operating income of JPY 254 million, ordinary income of JPY 288 million, net income of JPY 261 million or net income per share of JPY 13.30 million compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 2,600 million, operating income of JPY 70 million, ordinary income of JPY 100 million, net income of JPY 115 million or net income per share of JPY 5.85 million.
For the full year, net sales of JPY 5,100 million, operating income of JPY 300 million, ordinary income of JPY 340 million, net income of JPY 360 million or net income per share of JPY 17.82 million compared to previous guidance net sales of JPY 5,790 million, operating income of JPY 100 million, ordinary income of JPY 60 million, net income of JPY 25 million or net income per share of JPY 1.24 million.
Precision System Science Co., Ltd. is engaged in the development, manufacture and sales of various devices for lab (laboratory) automation and clinical diagnosis. The equipment business provides various automated equipment for lab such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) automatic extractors and others, immunochemical luminescence measuring devices, specimen pretreatment devices for clinical diagnosis, and fully automated gene diagnostic equipment, among others. The reagents and consumables business provide various reagents used for DNA extraction and protein purification, as well as dedicated plastic consumables such as reaction vessel and others. The maintenance-related segment is engaged in equipment maintenance business, and the sales of spare parts (replacement parts). The contract manufacturing business is engaged in the contract manufacturing business.
