Pontex Polyblend Co.,Ltd announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 399.176 million compared to TWD 263.665 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 21.057 million compared to operating loss of TWD 4.581 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 17.508 million compared to net loss of TWD 5.920 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.21 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.07 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was TWD 727.536 million compared to TWD 503.118 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 48.462 million compared to TWD 5.060 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 41.642 million compared to TWD 2.582 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.49 compared to TWD 0.03 a year ago.
PONTEX POLYBLEND CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of spare parts and engineering plastics. The Company mainly operates through two business segments. The Equipment Components segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of plastic injection molding products, including the soles, sports equipment and related spare parts. The Composite Materials segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of engineering plastic materials, including the glass and fireproof composite materials, as well as nylon 6 and nylon 66 cold resistant materials. The Company mainly operates its businesses in Taiwan and the rest of Asia.
