POLARIS UNO, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was KRW 17,299.21 million compared to KRW 24,889.05 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 2,006.16 million compared to KRW 4,046.45 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 32 compared to KRW 86 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 24 compared to KRW 80 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was KRW 32 compared to KRW 86 a year ago. For the six months, sales was KRW 38,758.69 million compared to KRW 48,250.53 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 4,868.61 million compared to KRW 4,078.91 million a year ago. Polaris Uno Inc, formerly Uno&Company Ltd, is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacturing of wig fibers and chemicals. The Company operates its businesses through two segments. The Synthetic Yarn Business segment provides wig fibers, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC) wig fibers and nonflammable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers, which are used for wigs, hair extensions, hair accessories and others. The Chemical Business segment provides monomers for eyeglass lenses required for the manufacturing of plastic eyeglass lenses for vision correction, label adhesives for labeling glass bottles, optical films, color-changing dyes and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets, including China, Southeast Asia, Africa and other areas.
