Construction and property development specialist Pochin's Ltd is marking the handover of a 27,000 sq ft HQ building at Hawarden Business Park for CSA Group Testing UK (formerly Sira Test & Certification).

The new HQ marks the first new build development in the Deeside Enterprise Zone, and is testimony to the success of the Enterprise initiative. The building was officially completed this week and handed over to CSA for their specialist fit-out to commence. Knight Frank acted for CSA on the relocation with Legat Owen and JLL acting for Pochin's Ltd.

The presence of CSA at Hawarden Business Park continues the excellent partnership and delivery of quality facilities and occupiers at the Business Park by Welsh Government and Pochin's Ltd, with the support of the Enterprise Zone and Flintshire County Council. The partnership aims to create a business park for high tech engineering, laboratories, R&D, manufacturing and distribution.

Speaking at a ceremony to mark the completion, Bob Nicholson, Development Director of Pochin's Ltd, said: "It is an absolute privilege to hand over this new head office building to CSA and we look forward to bringing further developments and new occupiers to the Business Park as future plans for Deeside and North Wales accelerate."

Ian Rippin, CSA UK Managing Director, commented: "CSA is delighted to be making the move to Flintshire and this growing and thriving Business Park. We firmly support the Welsh Government's plans for the area and look forward to the growth of other major businesses. We would like to thank Pochin's for delivering a state-of-the art facility which we are confident will underpin our plans for the future and, as such, we look forward to many successful years at Hawarden Business Park."

David Jones, Chair of Deeside Enterprise Zone, said: "Attracting new investors is a key priority for the Board and I am delighted that CSA have chosen the Welsh Government's Hawarden Business Park as the location for their new Head Office.

"This is exactly the type of businesses that we are seeking to attract so I warmly welcome the arrival of a world-leading firm who will be among good company given the impressive roll call of global companies who are already located in the Deeside Enterprise Zone."

Economy Minister Edwina Hart added: "CSA's move is an important development and a great endorsement of the Deeside Enterprise Zone. It will support the continued growth of the Enterprise Zone and will benefit the local community and economy of Flintshire."
