RECEIPT OF WRIT OF SUMMONS

This announcement is made by Ping An Securities Group (Holdings) Limited (the "Company") pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the "Board") of directors (the "Directors") of the Company announces that on 9 September 2020 it received a writ of summons (the "Writ") issued from the High Court of Hong Kong by VBG Group Limited (as the plaintiff) against the Company (as the defendant) claiming for a total sum of HK$75,000,000, being the outstanding principal sum in respect of a convertible note entered into between the plaintiff and the Company, and interest on the said sum and costs.

The Company is currently seeking legal advice regarding the relevant proceedings. The Company will keep its shareholders and investors informed of any significant development of the above proceedings and will make further announcement(s) as and when appropriate in accordance with the Listing Rules.

Shareholders and potential investors of the Company should exercise caution when dealing in the securities of the Company.
