Outsourcery enables a leading law firm to embrace skype for business

Keoghs, a Top 100 law firm, is to deploy Skype for Business from Outsourcery

The Bolton head quartered firm is a UK leader in providing defendant legal and claims related services to the insurance industry. They have served insurers, public sector and corporate organisations for over 45 years with rapid growth in recent years to over 1200 staff.

THE CHALLENGE

This growth has been enabled by a strong focus on process-driven, technology-enabled, ways of working. A dramatic increase in call volumes was putting a growing strain on their inflexible and ageing Private Branch Exchange (PBX) based telephony system. They needed a new solution, with the flexibility to support the next stage of growth, with cost effective scalability that avoided the significant upfront capital cost of a traditional hardware PBX.

'With an immediate telephony capacity challenge and the on-premises PBX nearing the end of its contract, we required a replacement that could be deployed quickly. We were eager to move to a cloud based solution that would also have the potential to embrace Microsoft's Cloud PBX with PSTN calling when it is available.'
Darrell Burnell, IT Programme Manager at Keoghs

THE SOLUTION

With its experience of delivering Skype for Business deployments to organisations with tens of thousands of users, Outsourcery was able to satisfy Keoghs that they had found a partner that could fully support their journey to the cloud and provide a solution that will deliver its IT strategy and support business growth. Outsourcery has been uniquely able to fully support a hybrid cloud model with deployment options across Outsourcery's O-Cloud and Office365 Cloud PBX.

Keoghs will be able to take full advantage of the unified communications capability of Skype for Business by combining voice, video, desktop sharing, conferencing, instant messaging and user presence in one user interface, which is accessible from any device, anytime, anywhere. Outsourcery are also able to support Keogh's with a related call centre and call recording functionality.

Given the nature of their business Keoghs are committed to best-practice information security; a prerequisite readily satisfied by Outsourcery's security accreditations including ISO 27001, 9001 and 14001 standards plus the Cloud Industry Forum's Code of Practice certification.

JOURNEY TO THE CLOUD

Darrell Burnell added; 'The key thing for us was to find a partner who has the experience and expertise to fully support our Skype for Business deployment with pace and confidence. Outsourcery's track record and their willingness to fully support our potentially complex deployment has convinced us that we have find the right organisation to work with. They have a unique blend of capabilities that we could not identify elsewhere.'

Outsourcery, CEO Piers Linney also commented; 'I am delighted that we have the opportunity to work with an organisation of Keoghs' standing in both the profession and the region. Our aim is to take potentially complex projects and make them simple for our clients and it's great that Keoghs have recognized our ability to do just that.

We are committed to work with both our customers and Microsoft to take full advantage of the voice capability of Skype for Business in the cloud. It is also gratifying to see a further example of the traction of our propositions to customers in the professional services market.'
