Northrop Grumman reports a net loss of $3.54 per share for the fourth quarter of 2023 (versus EPS of $13.46 a year earlier), weighed down by a pre-tax charge of $1.56 billion related to a contract won from the US Air Force in 2015.

At over $10.6 billion, revenues were up 6% thanks to the aeronautical (+6%) and space (+10%) systems divisions, while its order backlog grew to reach $84.2 billion by the end of 2023.

Northrop Grumman is targeting adjusted EPS of between $24.45 and $24.85 for 2024, as well as sales of between $40.8 and $41.2 billion, compared with $13.53 and $39.3 billion respectively for the previous year.
