Nordea has solid banking expertise in the Finnish real estate and construction
sector, and will centralise its services to companies in this sector into a
single new unit in Corporate Merchant Banking Finland. Timo Nyman has been
appointed head of this new unit called Real Estate & Construction.

Nordea decided to centralise its business knowledge of the real estate and
construction sector to better serve its customers. The aim is to create new
solutions to meet the needs of this segment throughout the production chain.

Our operations are based on understanding customers' business and the specific
needs of this sector. Due to the change we can further improve our service

At the same time, Nordea advances its position as a bank serving Finnish and
international real estate investors.

Timo Nyman appointed as head of a new unit
Timo Nyman, 46, has been appointed Head of Real Estate & Construction, and will
start in his new position on 1 March 2010.

Most recently Timo Nyman acted as a real estate specialist in the Workout Unit
in Nordic Investment Bank. Before that he held the position of Regional Head of
the Nordic countries in the German HSH Real Estate AG, which is specialised in
real estate financing and investment consultancy. Nyman has also acted for long
as HSH Nordbank AG's Country Manager in Finland.
