Establishment of the Taskforce for the Construction Plan of a New Ballpark

Notice is hereby given that NH Foods Ltd. (the "Company") and its consolidated subsidiary, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters Baseball Club Co., Ltd. (Headquarter: Sapporo City, Hokkaido, President and Representative Director: Kenso Takeda; "Fighters") have decided to establish a taskforce which has a cooperation system and to commence specific research and consideration in respect of the construction plan of a new ballpark.

Description

1. Background for the establishment of the taskforce

   Since the Fighters was born in 2004 making Hokkaido as its franchise location, it has set "Sports Community" as its corporate principle and developed its community-based business aiming at realizing a community which nurtures people's health of the minds and bodies. Because, in aiming at further embodiment of "Sports Community" going forward, it would be necessary to enhance the values which can be provided to fans and communities, the Fighters has decided to make a plan of constructing a new ballpark as part of our measures to achieve such goal.

   As the Company group, considering that it has set "we aspire to share the pleasures of good eating and the joys of health with people around the world" as our goal in our "Group Brand Pledges", and that it has set "supporting mental and physical well-being through food and sport" as one of our important tasks of CSR, we also have come to realize that it is necessary to conduct research and make consideration in respect of the construction plan of a new ballpark from various points of view, and decided to establish a taskforce which has a cooperation system of the Company and the Fighters. This taskforce is scheduled to provide certain direction having regard to the outcome of the research and consideration within the term of New Medium-Term Management Plan Part 5 (i.e. the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018).

2. Future outlook

This matter has no impact on the Company's consolidated business results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017.

While the Company will proceed to conduct specific research and consideration in respect of the construction plan of a new ballpark down the track, there is no determined fact in respect of the construction of a new ballpark itself at this stage. If a determined fact to be disclosed arises, we will publicize it promptly.
