New Gold, Inc. reported operating results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported total gold production of 95,883 ounces against 131,719 ounces a year ago. Total silver production was 0.3 million ounces against 0.5 million ounces a year ago. Total copper production was 25.6 million ounces against 28.8 million ounces a year ago.

For the year, the company reported total gold production of 381,663 ounces against 435,718 ounces a year ago. Total silver production was 1.3 million ounces against 1.8 million ounces a year ago. Total copper production was 102.3 million ounces against 99.9 million ounces a year ago.

The company provided consolidated production guidance for the year 2017. The company expects gold production to increase to 380,000 to 430,000 ounces, benefitting from targeted first production at Rainy River in September. Copper production to remain consistent at 100 to 110 million pounds.
