Navigant Consulting, Inc. announced the addition of a pair of former health system executives and physician leaders with more than 50 combined years of healthcare experience to its Healthcare segment’s strategic solutions practice. Daniel DeBehnke has joined Navigant as a managing director, overseeing the firm’s academic health system solutions. Charles Peck, MD, will rejoin Navigant as a managing director, where he will serve as the southeast regional market leader. Dr. Peck previously led the firm’s clinical and operational excellence offerings from 2013-2015. A board-certified emergency medicine physician, Dr. DeBehnke most recently served as CEO of the Nebraska Medicine health system and CEO of Medical College Physicians, a faculty practice plan affiliated with Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also was senior associate dean for clinical affairs and chief clinical integration officer at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has practiced on the front lines of Level 1 trauma centers, led a research laboratory, and participated on U.S. National Institutes of Health review panels. Dr. Peck joins Navigant from Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, where he served as president and CEO. In addition, Dr. Peck helped increase cost savings, reduce employee turnover, grow patient volumes, open a ambulatory campus, and expand Piedmont’s successful partnership with the University of Georgia. Dr. Peck also held executive roles at Aetna and FTI Consulting.
