Overview
Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has released the NFP0RSN_HL2 series of film-type common mode noise filters in the ultra-small 018012 size (0.45 x 0.30 mm).
Background
Ever higher levels of image resolution are being engineered for compact mobile devices; this is giving rise to the demand for small-sized common mode noise filters that support the increasingly higher speeds of the differential interfaces used for data transfer.
To meet this demand, Murata has released a series of common mode noise filters in the ultra-small 018012 size (0.45 x 0.30 mm).
Features
- 0.45 x 0.30 mm (height: max. 0.25 mm) small size, slim type
- Extremely small lands supported and narrow-pitch mounting enabled made possible by a new design feature for the external electrode shape
- High common mode noise suppression effect in the communication band (maximum effect achieved at 1.1 GHz and 1.2 GHz)
- Design consistent with 100Ω characteristic impedance and a high cut-off frequency enabling noise suppression measures to be taken without adversely affecting the signal waveforms
Applications
High-speed differential transmission lines (Mipi, USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, etc.) in smartphones, mobile phones, wearable devices such as watches, and other small-size mobile devices
