Overview

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has released the NFP0RSN_HL2 series of film-type common mode noise filters in the ultra-small 018012 size (0.45 x 0.30 mm).

Background

Ever higher levels of image resolution are being engineered for compact mobile devices; this is giving rise to the demand for small-sized common mode noise filters that support the increasingly higher speeds of the differential interfaces used for data transfer.
To meet this demand, Murata has released a series of common mode noise filters in the ultra-small 018012 size (0.45 x 0.30 mm).

Features

  1. 0.45 x 0.30 mm (height: max. 0.25 mm) small size, slim type
  2. Extremely small lands supported and narrow-pitch mounting enabled made possible by a new design feature for the external electrode shape
  3. High common mode noise suppression effect in the communication band (maximum effect achieved at 1.1 GHz and 1.2 GHz)
  4. Design consistent with 100Ω characteristic impedance and a high cut-off frequency enabling noise suppression measures to be taken without adversely affecting the signal waveforms

Applications

High-speed differential transmission lines (Mipi, USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, etc.) in smartphones, mobile phones, wearable devices such as watches, and other small-size mobile devices
