Msg life : with a successful launch at HUK-COBURG

(Leinfelden-Echterdingen, 23 January 2017) - Shortly after the new year, msg life ag successfully launched the JEE-based policy management system msg.Life Factory, including the mathematical product component msg.Life Product (msg.LP) and the contract component msg.Life Contract (msg.LC), for its long-standing customer HUK-COBURG Lebensversicherung AG (HUK-COBURG, Coburg).

This makes HUK-COBURG the first customer of msg life to utilise msg.Life Factory in its entirety, including the two key components msg.LP and msg.LC, as a purely JEE-based system. Work on the introductory project was completed in just one year in line with the exceptionally challenging schedule.

This launch will allow HUK-COBURG to map all future new business relating to the defined products with the new product component msg.LP. Additionally, msg life expects to continue to attract customers in connection with this modern solution. The promising sales pipeline for msg.Life Factory is partly due to the fact that, with msg.LP, potential customers can adapt their product designs to the substantial challenges of the persistent low-interest phase more quickly and with more flexibility.

msg life developed the component msg.LP in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) on the basis of JEE. The same applies to all of the other components of msg.Life Factory that have long been available in JEE and are being used by a wide range of customers. With msg.LP, all of msg.Life Factory will now be available to new and existing customers as a purely JEE-based system.

The range of services provided by msg.LP is leading on the markets of the German-speaking countries and even meets international requirements. In combination with msg.Life Factory, the most cutting-edge policy management system for life insurers in Europe, with the latest tools and methods msg.LP delivers levels of flexibility and efficiency that are unrivalled on the life insurance market.

Furthermore, all of these solutions have been integrated into msg.Insurance Suite (msg.I-Suite), the common insurance platform of the msg Group. msg.I-Suite represents the first holistic industrial standard for all sectors of the insurance industry. The platform covers and integrates all necessary system components for an insurance company.

Its underlying component architecture is characterised by a high degree of end-to-end prefabrication, makes it easy to integrate existing solutions and features a wide variety of potential applications with high releasability and low maintenance costs.
