Candidacy Withdrawal
MMX MINERAÇÃO E METÁLICOS S.A. ("Company" or "MMX"), a Brazilian mining company of iron ore mining listed on the Novo Mercado segment at BM&FBovespa, in compliance with article 157, §4th of Law 6.404/1976 and CVM Rule nº 358/2002 hereby informs the shareholders and the market that Mr. Eike Fuhrken Batista presented a letter to the Company on the date hereof informing he decided to withdraw his candidacy for Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.
Due to the withdrawal of Mr. Eike Fuhrken Batista, Mr. Pedro de Moraes Borba was appointed and elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the Annual General and Extraordinary Meeting held on the date hereof, for a term of office of one (1) year, remaining in such position until the 2017 Annual General Meeting of the Company.
