Midea : 3 Products Nominated for Brazil Design Award

Midea Eletrodomésticos has three products among the 139 announced to participate in the final of the Design Show Award in Brazil. The award-winning Midea Sensia Water Purifier, Midea Liva electric oven, Liva Eo and Midea Liva Fan are among the nominees. The winners will be announced in February and the ceremony will be held in March.

Over 750 designs were submitted for consideration for the award, one of Brazil's most prestigious. It was founded in 1988 in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's capital of furniture manufacturing. It is aimed at recognizing excellence in creativity in household products.

Products nominated come from 13 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. The finalists will take part in two shows, Movelsul Brazil 2016, which takes place in Bento Gon?alves, in March, and High Design - Home&Office Expo, to be held in August in S?o Paulo.

Midea Eletrodomésticos' products are signed by the designers Daniel Kr?ker and Valkiria Pedri Fialkowski, who are also responsible for the Midea Sensia Water Purifier design, which in October was one of the winners of the 29th edition of the Design Museu da Casa Brasileira award, institution of the Culture Department of S?o Paulo State.
