Mercury Systems, Inc. announced it received a $12.5 million order from a defense prime contractor for a ground-based electronic surveillance subsystem. The Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) solution is based on Mercury’s conduction-cooled ROCK-2 OpenVPX subsystem deployed in both fixed and mobile ground-based applications. Using both Intel-based CPUs and FPGA processing, the ROCK-2 subsystem maximizes performance while minimizing size, weight, and power (SWaP). The system will enable warfighters to discover wireless communications in their area of engagement, locate and, where appropriate, disrupt them.
