Working experience and occupation: Miss Chuah Ai Wen is a Practicing lawyer experienced in civil litigation, construction litigation, corporate and conveyancing matter, conducted hearings and trials at Magistrate court, Sessions Court and High Court; assisted in Court of Appeal and Federal Court hearings in relation to land dispute, construction dispute, arbitration matter under S.42 of Arbitration Act 2005; participated in mediation and successfully persuaded parties to amicably settle the disputes and subsequently entered consent judgment for 5 matters in year 2023; challenged arbitration award under S.37 of Arbitration Act 2005; successfully defended applications to set aside arbitration awards under the Arbitration Act 2005; handled adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA); represented small medium enterprises in sale and purchase disputes defending claims of fraud, forgery, conspiracy to defraud, fraudulent concealment, misrepresentation and unjust enrichment; represented a vendor in a sale and purchase transaction of a building at the sale price of RM12,000,000.00; represented a vendor in a share sale transaction worth approximately RM2,000,000.00; involved in construction arbitration (including quarry disputes, developer and main contractor disputes, main contractor and sub-contractor disputes), injunction applications, performance bond disputes, contempt of court proceedings, land ownership disputes, construction agreements disputes; handled conveyancing sale and purchase matters, prepared instruments including sale and purchase agreement, share sale agreement, deed of trusts, power of attorney, deed of mutual terms, joint venture agreement and vetted business consultancy agreement.
