The transfer of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal to Manchester United was announced via a short film on Monday night, which instantly went viral among fans on social media around the world.

The dramatic 36-second video showed our talented new signing playing the anthem 'Glory Glory Man United' on the piano, before pulling on his iconic no.7 shirt in the Old Trafford dressing room and walking out onto the hallowed turf at the Theatre of Dreams to survey his new home.

Carrying the hashtag #Alexis7, our mini movie was quickly trending worldwide and, at the time of writing, it has notched up over 19 million combined views on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
Yet parody is often the truest sign of success and, on Tuesday night, the video received a new lease of life when Scottish Premiership side Motherwell released their own comedic version... to announce the signing of Peter Hartley on a permanent contract following his successful loan spell from Blackpool!

The Steelmen's video shows the burly central defender playing a miniature keyboard - which he later smashes! - before walking out on the Fir Park pitch in the pouring rain. It is brilliantly done, we have to say.

It's well worth a watch, so check it out via Motherwell's official Twitter account.
