SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelsey Grammer took home the Golden Globe® Award Sunday evening for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his starring role in BOSS, which debuted on Starz in October and is produced by LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company. Recently renewed for its second season, the series has earned widespread critical acclaim.

This is Grammer's third Golden Globe® win and his first for a dramatic role. Over the course of his career, he has been honored with a total of 9 nominations.

BOSS stars Grammer as fictional Chicago Mayor Tom Kane, who holds sway over just about everything in his city. When faced with a terrible secret that threatens his power, his true character is revealed. Also starring in the drama are Connie Nielsen, Jeff Hephner, Hannah Ware, Kathleen Robertson, Martin Donovan and Troy Garity.
