Kunimine Industries Co. Ltd. (JASDAQ:5388) concluded a contract to acquire assets and division of Koriyama Plant from BASF Japan Ltd. on December 22, 2011. The Board of Directors of Kunimine Industries Co has resolved the deal on December 22, 2011. The deal is expected to close on January 1, 2012.

The Bentonite segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of litter for civil engineering and construction, castings and pets, the purchase, sale and transportation of mud conditioning formulation and others. The Agriculture segment is engaged in the processing of agricultural chemicals, the manufacture, processing, sale and transportation of raw materials for agricultural base and processing products, agricultural materials, soil conditioners, and purified bentonite for pesticide applications.
