Mr P.F. Hartman appointed member of Supervisory Board of TenCate

During the general meeting of shareholders, held in Almelo on Thursday, 18 April 2013, Mr P.F. (Peter) Hartman was appointed as member of the Supervisory Board of textile technology company Royal Ten Cate. 

Mr Hartman (64 and of Dutch nationality) is President and CEO of KLM NV and a member of the Supervisory Board of Air France KLM S.A., Kenya Airways Group Limited, Compagnia Aerea Italiana S.p.A, Delta Lloyd Group N.V. and Fokker Technologies Group B.V. Mr Hartman is also a member of the Franco-Dutch Cooperation Council, a member of the Advisory Board of the University Fund Delft, Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Council for Aviation Research and Innovation in Europe, Chairman of the Board of Connekt and Chairman of the IATA Board of Governors.

The Supervisory Board is of the unanimous opinion that Mr Hartman's knowledge and experience accord with those in the Board's profile. Mr Hartman is accustomed to operating at the highest level of management. Mr Hartman has also had industrial relations and personnel policy in his portfolio as Executive Vice-President Human Resources for KLM.

Mr Hartman's general management experience, gained in part as CEO of a company providing technical services, will be of great value to Royal Ten Cate. His network and experience in the aviation sector are also valuable, having regard to the great strategic importance of TenCate's activities in the field of composite materials.
