Kazakhstan Kagazy AO : Waste Recycling begins an environmental campaign called “Save Trees by Collecting Waste Paper”

Kazakhstan Waste Recycling, in cooperation with the state Youth Policy Development Fund of Almaty, is happy to announce the launch of the environmental campaign "Save Trees by Collecting Waste Paper".

The campaign will be held between 10 November 2014 and 10 May 2015. Universities, businesses and the general population are all invited to join the environmental campaign. Participants should collect as much waste paper as possible in order to take part in the campaign, with a minimum of 100 kilograms for the general population and 500 kilograms for legal entities.

For those who collect more than 100 kilograms and call ahead, waste pick-up will be provided. Those participants who collect the largest volume of waste paper will be rewarded. They will also be invited to take part in a tree planting.

The results of the campaign will be compiled April 1st through 10th, 2015. The main goal of the event is to draw attention to problems growing from the wasteful use of natural resources and to the potential benefits of recycling.
