Nova Resources BV indirectly owned by two senior executives and top shareholders of Kaz Minerals Plc (LON:KAZ), is closer to its planned acquisition of the London-based copper miner after receiving regulatory approvals for the deal from the governments of China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The takeover proposal by Kaz Minerals chairman Oleg Novachuk and Non-Executive Director Vladimir Kim, which values the entire business at roughly GBP 3 billion (USD 4.1 billion/EUR 3.4 billion), still hinges on other regulatory clearances as well as on the backing of independent shareholders, a filing showed January 11, 2021. The bidder expects to make the offer document available to the target company's shareholders by February 4. The UK-based miner has a current market capitalisation of GBP 3.4 billion.
