Kasai Kogyo Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the first half of fiscal 2012. For the first half, the company reported net sales of JPY 74,619 million compared to JPY 55,624 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 2,068 million compared to JPY 2,619 million last year. Ordinary profit was JPY 2,141 million compared to JPY 2,542 million last year. Net profit was JPY 845 million compared to JPY 1,243 million last year. Cash flow from operating was JPY 4,815 million compared to JPY 834 million for the same period a year ago.

For the second half, the company expects net sales of JPY 144,000, operating profit of JPY 4,300 million, ordinary profit of JPY 4,300 million and net profit of JPY 2,200 million.

Strengthening of business management system in North America, the company expects return to profitability in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

The company announced establishment of a new plant in Alabama to build up the production capacity and review production allocated.
