The third phase of the relaunch of Johnston Press newspaper titles is under way.

Newspapers in Yorkshire, including the Yorkshire Evening Post and a number of weekly titles, adopted new designs in mid-January. They were followed by another tranche of titles in the South Midlands.

This final phase of relaunches is expected to run through to the middle of the year by which time nearly all of the company's titles will feature the new designs.

A project to provide journalists with new laptops and smartphones is running alongside the relaunches. The 'mojo' (mobile journalists) scheme allows journalists to file content (words, pictures and video) remotely from the field. The equipment has already been used successfully in a variety of scenarios, including from Afghanistan where a reporter was embedded with a British unit over Christmas and New Year.
