JFE Holdings Inc. announced that it has decided to appoint Eiji Hayashida, the president of subsidiary JFE Steel Corp., as new president of the parent company on April 1 to succeed Hajime Bada. Bada will become adviser after JFE Holdings' general shareholder meeting in June. Hayashida joined Kawasaki Steel Corp., one of the two predecessors of JFE Holdings, in 1973.
He became president of JFE Steel in April 2010.
