Intel agreed to buy Silicon Mobility SAS, a fabless silicon and software company that develops system-on-chips for intelligent electric vehicle energy management.

The purchase is one of the plans Intel announced at CES to bring its "AI everywhere strategy into the automotive market."

Silicon Mobility SAS is a portfolio company of Cipio Partners and Capital-E. An Intel press release didn't give the purchase price. In 2018, the company reported that it completed a $10 million Series B round of funding.
