PATH THROUGH FINANCING TOTALLING 30 MILLION EURO

Milan, 8 July 2024 - illimity Bank S.p.A. ("illimity" or the "Bank"), has structured a financing transaction worth a total of 10 million euro for Birsa S.r.l., the operating holding company of the Animalia Group ("Animalia" or the "Group"), a leader in the sector of veterinary clinics for pets in Italy.

Following the recent entry of Charme Capital Partners SGR into Animalia's capital, illimity has continued to support the Group with a new revolving credit facility of 10 million euro. The aim of this facility, having a duration of 5 years, is to support the Group's liquidity needs for working capital and investments.

Since 2020, illimity has supported Animalia with various loans, for a total amount of 30 million euro, which have contributed to the Group's organic and external growth process through the acquisition of a series of veterinary clinics. In only a few years, Animalia has achieved significant results and is planning to increase its market presence even further.

Set up in 2019 with the opening of its first Veterinary Clinic in Lissone, in just 5 years Animalia has grown rapidly, completing a series of acquisitions that have led to its presence in 13 Italian regions with 75 veterinary clinics. The Group's aim is to create structures of excellence and contribute to the evolution of the veterinary sector in Italy in order to provide a complete, integrated and professional service.

Stefano Ortolano, Head of Structured Finance in illimity's Corporate Banking Division, commented: "We have been working since 2020 alongside Animalia, an innovative veterinary group and market leader with a capillary presence throughout Italy achieved in just a few years. We are therefore pleased to have been able to contribute from the beginning to the rapid growth of the Group, which continues to look to the future of a constantly developing market worth 2.6 billion euro in Italy in 2023. We believe that Animalia will be able to grasp further possibilities for the major expansion of a distinctive business model, an extensive network and the high level of professionalism that distinguishes it. This transaction confirms illimity's desire to support businesses with significant potential that are capable of intercepting the needs of rapidly growing markets".
