Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company (NYSE: HRH), Chicago's fourth largest insurance broker and one of the world's largest insurance and risk management intermediaries, announced that it has named Senior Vice President Pamela Haughawout Midwest healthcare practice leader.

Pam will be working closely with the region's 10 offices to help them develop customized solutions that best meet their clients' medical liability needs. Pam is a member of HRH's National Healthcare Practice Steering Committee, and joins the Midwest team from the HRH Boston office. Most of Pam's 30 years of insurance and risk management experience have been dedicated to the healthcare industry. Her expertise is extensive within the entire healthcare spectrum, from hospitals and clinics to physician groups and managed care companies to medical products and pharmaceutical companies. Before joining HRH in 1998, she served in a similar capacity in Boston for Marsh Inc. and Aon Corporation.

Pam is a frequent speaker at national and regional healthcare risk management conferences and forums, and is a member of several healthcare organizations, including the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. She holds the CPCU, ARM and RPLU (Registered Professional Liability Underwriter) professional designations.
