After much anticipation, U.S.-based Heelys, Inc. (NASDAQ: HLYS) is now offering three new styles designed specifically for girls. The new styles are more fashion-forward than previous Heelys, boasting features like flower buckles and raised heels, providing a little extra height for the wearer and a look that goes great with jeans, shorts or skirts.

These white wingtips make a bold statement. White patent leather with small, jet-black polka dots gives Hipster a sleek, retro look. As its name suggests, Hipster is perfect for trendsetters who have a genuine flare for fashion. The Hipster comes in sizes 12C-6 Youth and 7-9 Women's. MSRP: $69.99. (Photo: Business Wire)

"I'm excited to hear that Heelys is offering shoes exclusively for women. I've already ordered a pair of Socialites, the new design that looks like a Mary Jane. It's so hard to find a pair of comfortable, yet stylish shoes, so I'm really looking forward to trying them," said Thien-Kim Lam, editor of From Left to Write and author of the blogs I'm Not the Nanny and Cup of Creativi-Tea.

Like traditional Heelys, the updated designs feature removable wheels that can easily be taken out, turning them into a fashionable pair of shoes. The new styles are:

Jogger: An athletic look with major style, Jogger comes in charcoal gray suede and black nubuck and features a stylized "H" logo in silver patent leather. To tie the design together, pink contrast stitching zigzags its way across the shoe, forming a unique pattern. With its soft suede and bright colors, Jogger is sure to please. Jogger is available in sizes 12C-6 Youth and 7-9 Women's. MSRP: $69.99.

Socialite: Cute, stylish and fun, these shoes sport an iconic Mary Jane look with shiny black patent leather, buckles and straps, and rounded toes. Heelys took it one step further, adding black nubuck detailing and a splash of color - purple stitching with a matching buckle and flower-shaped accent. Socialite comes in sizes 12C-6 Youth and 7-9 Women's. MSRP: $64.99.

Hipster: These white wingtips make a bold statement.

Although Heelys has offered girls' styles before, this is the first time it's tailored them specifically to girls, from the outsole to the design of the upper.

"There is a growing demand for new Heelys amongst our female customers, and we are pleased to be able to provide three new designs made specifically for them," said Tom Hansen, Heelys CEO. "We've always had styles for our female customers, but they typically had elements in common with what we were producing for our male customers. Jogger, Socialite and Hipster are the first Heelys we've created from the ground up for our female customers."

These great new styles and more are available through the Heelys online shop http://shop.heelys.com, Zappos and Amazon, and in specialty stores located in more than 40 countries around the world. For more information, visit www.heelys.com.
