Announcement of support for the TCFD Recommendations
Hanwa Co., Ltd ("Hanwa") has expressed its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures ("TCFD*") established by the Financial Stability Board.
As concerns about climate change grow, we recognize the importance of proactively addressing climate change issues, and we believe that we need to take action in light of both "the impact of our business activities on climate change" and "the impact of climate change on our company".
Going forward, based on the TCFD's recommendations, we will actively promote information disclosure from the perspectives of strategy, risk management, and governance.
*TCFD refers to the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, which was established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) at the request of the G20 to study climate-related disclosures and the responses of financial institutions.
