Greenpower Energy Limited provided an update to the OHD project. The strategic review continued on commercialisation pathways for OHD with a focus on agricultural biostimulants. The review includes the option to supplement their product offering with patentable coal fertiliser blends. Discussions also commenced with Thermaquatica on varying the current Licence Agreement to enhance commercialisation. The current program of trials being undertaken by Monash University have been completed with positive results: Field trials on soil-grown processing tomatoes a trend of increased tomato yield and reduced bottom-end-rot was identified at the Mitiamo trial site; Field trials on wheat despite being severely impacted by extreme weather conditions at the Yarrawonga trial site, indications were that OHD may increase wheat yield, supporting previous positive test results and may improve crop stress tolerance by retaining plant greenness for longer In the next quarter, there will be testing on herbicide effectiveness with OHD and planning for further crop tests during 2019. Production facility costings were completed for a range of production levels ranging from 1 to 20 million litres per year of OHD liquid with high-level economics being positive. Thermaquatica also completed a study on optimising oxygen levels for the OHD process, utilising the existing Process Demonstration Unit at Southern Illinois University.
