ROBOTICS: THE CANARY ISLANDS HOSPITALS AWARD

DRUG AUTOMATION TO GPI

2-MILLION CONTRACT

Trento, 13 April 2023

Through its subsidiary GPI Iberia, Gpi has been awarded the tender for the automation of five hospitals of the Servicio Canario de la Salud (Canary Islands Health Service) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Palma (Canary Islands).

The contract is worth almost 2 million euros and includes the supply of 7 Riedl Phasys systems, 7 automatic loading systems, five cold rooms, 5 ATM autonomous dispensers and transport systems for the distribution of drugs to the outpatient area. Eight years of maintenance are also included.

With the installation of this equipment, Servicio Canario de la Salud becomes one of Spain's leading health services in the automation of drug dispensing processes for outpatients.

With this contract and others won in late 2022 for 2.5 million euros, Gpi increases its presence in international markets with Riedl Phasys automation in China, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, the UK, Spain, Switzerland and Hungary.
