Golden Agri-Resources announces the opening of its Central Business Services at Sinar Mas MSIG Tower in Jakarta

The new office will serve as a central point for company's corporate services as part of company's transformation effort into a world-class organisation.

Jakarta, Indonesia | 27 September 2018 - Golden Agri-Resources (GAR), a global integrated palm-based agribusiness, announced the opening of a new office at Sinar Mas MSIG Tower in Jakarta, Indonesia. This new office, located in the heart of Jakarta's business district, will serve as company's Central Business Services, a central point for company's corporate services, such as Human Resources, IT, Procurement and Finance.

"Our company is undergoing a phase of transformation in order to meet the growing world population's demand for sustainable and innovative solutions to palm-based products. This transformation includes elevating the way we operate to continue providing efficient sustainable and high-quality agribusiness and consumers products, solutions and services to our stakeholders," said Jesslyne Widjaja, Director of Corporate Strategy and Business Development Golden Agri-Resources.

Central Business Services (CBS) is set up to streamline and standardise processes, providing its customers (from internal and external) with consistent and seamless service. To support this process, GAR's CBS has approximately 1000 employees spread across five different floors at Sinar Mas MSIG Tower.

GAR's CBS is only one of the transformation initiatives that have been implemented this year. Since mid-July 2018, the company has started to adopt world-class technology, system and practices.

More specifically, the transformation covers:

  • Digital Human Resources management

    The company engage with Workday, a leader enterprise in cloud applications for finance and human resources to provide a self-service platform that will allow all employees to manage their HR needs on-the-go, facilitating faster and more efficient administrative process and decision-making. This system will be made available to the Indonesian office and also global offices

  • End-to-End Data Analytics Programme, consists of a series of projects aimed at improving the way data is analysed and presented, especially through interactive dashboards. It will empower employees to make data-driven decisions and see holistically across the business.

  • Digital Adoption

    The company have successfully set up a Digital Platform to help accelerate digital adoption. To-date, the company has piloted a number of data-driven analytics use cases, mobile applications, GPS and sensor-based applications on this Platform. It will continue to leverage this Platform to roll more new technologies out in the coming years, to enable its digital transformation efforts.
