Glenveagh Properties PLC announced four key hires to strengthen its already sector-leading senior management team. The below personnel are each set to join the business during the first quarter of 2018. Chief Commercial Officer: Wesley Rothwell. Wesley will join Glenveagh at the end of January 2018 after serving at CBRE in various capacities for 17 years. Most recently Wesley led CBRE's commercial and residential land and residential capital markets team in Dublin as Executive Director. Upon joining Glenveagh, Wesley will head up Land & Portfolio Management not only to acquire new land sites for the Company but also to actively asset manage Glenveagh's multi-year land bank. Wesley will chair the Company's Land Committee and join Glenveagh's Executive Committee. Chief People Officer: Diarmuid Leahy. Diarmuid formerly International HR Director at Marathon Oil Corporation, joined Glenveagh at the start of 2018. With over 25 years' experience across different industries, in Ireland and internationally, his most recent role was based out of Houston, Texas where he was accountable for all strategic HR functions in Africa, Canada, the UK, Kurdistan, and the Gulf of Mexico. At Glenveagh Diarmuid will guide and help team to create a best in class people focussed organisation and position Glenveagh as an employer of choice. Diarmuid will also join Glenveagh's Executive Committee. Head of Planning: Chris McGarry. Chris will join Glenveagh on 21 February 2018. Most recently Chris was Head of Planning at the NAMA which he joined in 2011. A Chartered Town Planner and member of the Irish Planning Institute with over 27 years' experience and an occasional lecturer in planning law at University College, Dublin. Chris's previous roles include Operational Director of the Dublin planning office of RPS Group, Board member of Cluid Housing Association and Chairman of the Royal Town Planning Institute (Irish branch). At Glenveagh, Chris will lead the Company's highly effective planning team which has shown a consistent success rate in securing planning permissions for new homes and will help the organisation become a respected leader in the sustainable urbanisation of Dublin and other urban locations across Ireland, working credibly with public and private stakeholders, and providing opportunities for Glenveagh Living. Director, Strategy & Investor Relations: Conor Murtagh. Conor moves to Glenveagh in mid February 2018 from Investec in Dublin where he is an Associate Director, Corporate Finance. An ACCA qualified accountant with 10 years' corporate finance experience at Investec and NCB Group, Conor has advised corporates, PLCs and private equity clients on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, fundraisings and financings. At Glenveagh, Conor will work closely with the Company's CEO, CFO and Head of Investor Relations to assist in investor communications and executing corporate strategy.
