User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) solution enables alert prioritization and automated incident remediation

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - January 31, 2018 - Symantec Corp., a global leader in cyber security, announced the release of Information Centric Analytics (ICA), the User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) solution designed to help customers prioritize alerts, automate incident remediation and simplify incident management based on analysis and correlation of large volumes of alerts.

As organizations expand data protection strategies, they deal with an increasing volume of daily data incidents. However, manual sorting and prioritization of security alerts often doesn't identify real threats until it's too late. Gaining insight into how users expose sensitive data through their behavior is key to managing the risk of a data breach.

Symantec ICA is an advanced cyber risk analytics solution that helps organizations identify and act on risks. ICA correlates and distills large amounts of alert information from Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and other security products to help provide faster incident triage and remediation, mitigation of insider threats and effective response to cyber breaches. ICA inputs policy and alert information from Symantec DLP and applies advanced UEBA and machine learning to prioritize incidents and identify abnormal and risky behaviors.This contextually-enriched view of cyber risks in the enterprise provides insight into risky users and behaviors that can help unveil potential malicious cyber activity.
