Ferrari, the famous sports car manufacturer, has inaugurated its new factory in Maranello, Italy, which will be dedicated to the production of its very first 100% electric model. The facility will also produce hybrid and internal combustion engine vehicles.

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna insisted that the plant is intended to strengthen the brand's ability to create bespoke and exclusive cars, rather than to increase production volumes.

Ferrari's first electric car is scheduled to go into production in 2026, following its presentation at the end of 2025. Pricing information will be revealed a month before the official launch. In addition, it has been confirmed that the recent cyber attacks on the CDK Global dealer management system in the US have had no impact on the company.

With this initiative, Ferrari is preparing for a future where electrics will play an increasingly important role in the luxury car sector.
