Far EasTone Telecommunications Co., Ltd. : Far EasTone Monthly Financial Highlights –December 2011

Taipei, Taiwan- January 10, 2012- Far EasTone (TAIEX: 4904) today announced its unaudited results for December 2011. Far EasTone's consolidated total revenue was NT$6,983million. The consolidated EBITDA and net income were NT$1,841 million and NT$737 million respectively.

2011 full year consolidated total revenue of FET has reached NT$75,749 million. And full year consolidated EBITDA and net income were NT$22,471 million and NT$8,881 million, respectively. The unaudited EPS stands at NT$2.73.

FET posted stellar operational performance in 2011 with the achievement rates for consolidated total revenue and net income hitting 102% and 105% respectively. FET got numerous awards from professional international institutions in 2011 due to its outstanding operational performance, and it's a pleasure to announce today that FET got more recognition from a world-renowned financial magazine on Jan 3, winning four financial awards by 'Corporate Governance Asia'. Chairman of FET Douglas Hsu and FET CFO T.Y.YIN were awarded Asia's Best CEO and Asia's Best CFO respectively, making FET the only telecom operator in Taiwan that ever gets these two awards. Meanwhile, FET was also laurelled with Corporate Governance Asia's Best Investor Relations Website/Promotion and Best Investor Relations Company, Taiwan. In addition, FET won "Titanium award for financial performance and investor relations" in the Asset Corporate Award 2011 and is the only telecom company that gets 'The Asset' recognitions for two consecutive years. These fully indicate the company's well-recognized performance in 2011.
