Entech Solar (OTC BB: ENSL) (the "Company", "Entech") today announced the latest progress in its daylighting line of products. Since its last stockholders meeting in August 2010, Entech Solar has been actively developing several new daylighting products for illuminating commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings with natural sunlight. Entech has recently completed the first phase of testing of two of these new products and is now using this opportunity to share the exciting results. Both products are based on our patented collimating skylight technology that redirects the solar rays to the working area beneath the skylight, and thereby provides significant improvements over conventional skylights in both the quantity and quality of the light delivered to the working space. The two new products are a high-lumen-output collimating skylight and a collimating add-on kit for skylights produced by others. The key test results for these two new products are described below.

High-Lumen-Output Collimating Skylights - Over the past three weeks near spring equinox, Entech Solar has on clear days consistently measured over 50,000 lumens of peak output near solar noon for a new collimating skylight with an above-roof window aperture area of only 6.2 square feet. Since the equinoxes (spring and fall) are representative of the "average" sun angles for the whole year, we believe these results characterize the "average" peak lumen output for all the clear days of the whole year. This new high-lumen-output collimating skylight also uses very cost-effective materials and construction techniques, and we expect to offer this new product commercially during the second quarter of this year at very attractive prices per lumen of daylight delivered. We are also planning to offer an even larger unit for "big box" retail stores, warehouses, and factories. These larger units can provide over 100,000 lumens of peak output originating from only 13 square feet of above-roof window aperture area.

Collimating Add-On Kits for Skylights Made by Others - Over the past few weeks at Entech Solar we have also tested our first "add-on kit" collimator for improving the daylighting performance of skylights made by others. Our add-on collimator eliminates the glare from conventional skylights and directs the lumen output to the workspace below the skylight, where it is needed. Our first test unit was attached to an Apollo® Solar Light Pipe made by Orion Energy Systems, whose plant in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, was visited earlier this year by President Obama. Our measurements during March 2011 have verified that our collimator add-on kit eliminates glare and dramatically improves the delivery of usable lumens to the workspace below the skylight. Near solar noon, the improvement was about 60%. In mid-morning or mid-afternoon, the improvement was about 100%. In early morning or late afternoon, the improvement was about 130%. On average throughout the day, the collimator eliminated glare and essentially doubled the usable lumen output delivered to the workspace below the skylight. We are also planning to offer performance enhancing add-on collimator kits for other types of conventional skylights made by other companies.

Entech Solar is inviting skylight manufacturers and other potential business partners to visit its skylight lab in Fort Worth. Entech will provide a tour and presentation of its proprietary daylighting developments provided that such visitors have signed our mutual non-disclosure agreement prior to their visit. Entech Solar will also exhibit its unique skylight technology at LightFair International in Philadelphia May 17-19, 2011.
